"Bab al Bahrain" in Arabic, it means The door of bahrain; it used to be located at the shore, thus was literally acting as a gateway many years ago. Now, it is much further inland because artificial land has moved the shore away. Behind this door you see the old market, still in use, and full of good stores, deals and hotels. A post office, many indian and fast food restaurants, hotels and banks are located within a 5-minute walk too. Nowadays, Bab al Bahrain itself is a museum.
